AGM makes Recon, the industry's first 3D, real-time geological interpretation application specifically designed to enable geologists to correlate well logs and map horizons directly in 3D using affordable desktop workstations.
Challenge:
AGM had experienced significant growth with their Recon product, the industry’s leading 3D geological interpretation software. And while business boomed, their Web site grew too, with new pages and videos designed to inform potential customers.
But the existing site lacked necessary structure for growth and ballooned to over 150 pages. Information about their products was scattered throughout the site, links were broken, image styling varied greatly and key videos required plug-ins that worked only sporadically. It was difficult for customers to find what they needed or determine what part of the site they were in.
Solution:
Go9Media dug into its bag of tricks many times and came up with a multi-pronged approach to the solution.
A smart, bold and updated design anchors the site, and gives it strong definition and a clear layout that makes it easy for visitors to quickly find what they’re looking for. Our developers cleverly applied Spry collapsible and tabbed panels, which allowed AGM to include a large volume of information in only 26 pages.
The rotating banner on the home page proved to be more challenging than first anticipated. Originally designed in Flash, the banner didn’t function in Linux. Our developers redesigned it, making creative use of JavaScript, and delivered an interactive banner that works for all clients on all systems.
Go9Media also implemented Lightbox and Greybox technology to display collateral materials like slideshows and videos in a sophisticated and uniform manner that requires no plug-ins or additional software.
The addition of a Google search box provides another inexpensive yet robust way for site visitors to find the AGM materials and information they seek.
Results:
Happy clients who are thrilled to now have a Web site (www.austingeo.com) with a consistent look and feel that can grow with their company’s needs, and provide new and existing customers with the information they want at their fingertips.
T. Flint Sparks is a licensed psychotherapist with over 25 years of experience in the practice of psychotherapy. He is also an ordained Zen Buddhist priest and sought after speaker.
Challenge
While Sparks had established a website and online presence, his website
was not ranking high on major search engines like Google, MSN and Yahoo.
Naturally, he sought to enlighten these search rankings, along with
providing his Buddhist followers with an informative reading list and
periodic email communications.
Solution
To optimize Sparks’ site for major search engines, Go9 rebuilt
certain sections with live text enabling search engines—and ultimately
potential visitors—to find his site among the first or second page
rankings. Go9 also applied its automated email marketing solution so
visitors could easily subscribe or unsubscribe to Sparks’ mailing
list. And a link back to Amazon.com provided a way for visitors to research
the newly added list of recommended reading.
Results
Within 24 hours, www.flintsparks.com went from a seventh page ranking
to a far more enlightened first. And Sparks’ use of our automated
email marketing software has been a great way for him to keep in touch
with his subscribers – headache free.
The Meyers family has been “smokin’ and servin’” their legendary barbecue for four generations and considers it to be some of the “best tasting sausage in the free world.”
Challenge
Meyers went online a few years back with a website featuring basic information such as name, location, hours and directions. But they wanted something more savory, more delicious. They wanted to create a big splash with bold, memorable branding and a robust polished website with easy navigation and ecommerce functionality.
Solution
To transform Meyers’ new website design into a robust, user friendly
experience with easy-to-use ecommerce functionality, nationally recognized
advertising agency, Door Number 3, turned to Go9 Media. Strategic use
of Flash (at the front end) added a dynamic dimension for site visitors
while traditional HTML structure (on the back end) ensured quick page
loads. The site was also optimized for high search engine rankings to
reach the widest audience possible. Go9 also built the site for quick
and easy internal maintenance by the Meyers staff.
Results
Meyers’ new site, www.cuetopiatexas.com, has watered the mouths
of countless clients and customers who are sure to come back for more.
It even garnered the Go9 team its first Austin Addy Award! (And we all
know how hard it is to impress the critics.)
Don’t Mess with Texas is a high profile award winning public education campaign that has helped to remove hundreds of tons of trash from Texas roadways since it debuted in 1985.
Challenge
Go9 was chosen by EnviroMedia, the country’s leading social marketing agency, to develop three new sites for the Don’t Mess with Texas campaign. By law, the sites needed to be accessible and viewable to people of all disabilities. We were also tasked with resolving the existing site that had grown unwieldy with ad hoc-added content and lacked the back-end structure to support ongoing maintenance.
Solution
Pioneers in the field of web accessibility, Go9 was able to build a site
that people of all disabilities could easily access, navigate and enjoy.
We also built solid architecture in to the back end of the site, allowing
for logical flow of current and future growth, as well as the easy addition
of content for years to come.
Results
Thanks to the clean yet hip outcome, Go9 ended up earning another award.
The Innovator Award, part of the Summit International Emerging Media
Awards for 2007, was presented in the Interactive Media category for
the Don't Mess with Texas Accessible Flash kids site. Party on.
Wow! What a spectacular web site you and VoxGroup created for us! We could not be any happier with it and continue to get nothing but positive feedback. A million thanks and much appreciation.
